Dr Steven Cook (BDSc MDSc FRACDS)
Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science degree (First Class Honours) from the University of Queensland in 1983. He worked as a general dentist in Brisbane and also studied for his Fellowship examinations with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS). Steve returned to the University of Queensland in 1988, to undertake his Masters degree (specialist training) in Orthodontics and moved to Bundaberg in 1990 and has practiced at the current location since then. He married a Bundaberg girl, Helen, in 1995 and they now have two children, Matthew and Nathan.
Helen is a qualified accountant and works behind the scenes in the practice ensuring that we are up to date with our legal and financial obligations. Their boys attend Avoca State School, where Helen is also a teacher aide.
Steven loves to have a hit of tennis, was a competitive swimmer and now enjoys being caddie for the boys at junior golf (as seen left).
Jamaika
She helps out chairside with Steve. In her private time, she like the Bundaberg beaches and visiting family.
Jasmin
Jasmin is one of the friendly faces greeting you at the reception desk. She is a local girl. She will help make appointments and organise health fund details.
In her spare time she loves camping, fishing and spending her money shopping.
Karla
Karla has returned to the practice after previously working with Steve from 1997 to 2001. In the meantime she has been busy furthering her laboratory career on the Sunshine Coast, marrying Michael and is proud mum to Eva and Riley. She hangs out in the Lab making retainers and appliances.
Shay
She assists patients at the front desk and also helps out chairside. Shay loves experimenting with make-up, cooking, hanging out with friends and family. Watching Netflix is her passion.
Sharon
Sharon helps out part time in the clinic being chairside assistant. She is married to Nathan, and Mum to three boys and a girl, but still finds time in the work- life balance to work. Sharon is busy chauffeuring her kids to sporting events in her spare time.
